The start of spring?

Writer's picture: Quarry ParkQuarry Park

West Wales avoided most of the brunt of storm Eowyn, and signs of spring are starting to peep through - some early snowdrops and even the occasional yellow-headed daffodil are showing themselves around the site.

The beach at Amroth - let me off this lead!

Today was a glorious day, despite a chilly start. A trip to the coastal village of Amroth was just what was needed to banish the winter blues.

Amroth marks the start (or end depending on your perspective?) of the well known Pembrokeshire Coast Path (186 miles to St Dogmaels), but there is also a lovely 6 mile rural and historic walk from Amroth towards Templeton, part of the lesser known Knights Way - an ancient pilgrimage route from Amroth to St Davids.

It's also just a fab beach for dogs to have a run and splash through the waves. And it's only 25 minutes drive from Quarry Park Camping. With a pub.......................

Bring on the summer!
